John started his musical career when he was only 15 years old, as he played drums in his school's rock'n'roll band. They had their first concert after two months of rehearsing, and by then, John had also become the singer in the band. After a few more months, they won the local music competition, "Battle of the Bands". John started playing the guitar at the age of 17, and he was the singer and the guitarist in a professional swing band called "The Sharp Cuts", consisting of six people.
With this "jump jive swing band" he played for Princess Diana and toured with "The Fabulous Thunderbirds", "Dr. Feelgood", "Bo Diddley" and "Chubby Checker". It was in this period John started playing the piano and write music of his own. A small independant record company published a single containing four of John's songs. He started making his first solo album in 1999 in Los Angeles, and has afterwards worked solo in England and the rest of Europe, and also toured Europe with his band.
